Sketchbook pages: Initial ideas

 Here are some of my initial ideas. 

I have explored the wave of Portsmouth, the local ecology and the site limitations. 

I have definitely explored the wildlife living in among Foxes Forest (Hilsea Lines), I have looked up the statistics for the birds currently residing in the area and have found that there are actually two types of swallow that live there. The Bank Swallow and the Barn Swallow.

I have made the connections from the way that the swallows dive to a mathematical shape, a hyperbolic paraboloid. This is a very unique structure which in 3D, can be made entirely of straight pieces of material, however it forms an interesting curved shape. 

I have also thought about the idea of green roofs and how I can fit these themes together.
